A: Not too tight, not too loose. Often our students wear t-shirts, shorts, or sweatpants. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable!
Q: Do I need my own mat?
A: Bring one if you want but if you do not have one, not to worry – we have plenty and there is no additional charge.
Q: If I’m out of shape, can I do yoga?
A: Yes. Embrace your level, whatever it is, in yoga most classes are all levels. Yoga is very good about providing methodical ways to deepen your meditation, flow, and positions. Practice, be your own cheerleader, and you will progress without even thinking about it. There are many types of yoga out there, try a number of styles to see what suits you.
Q: Do I have to be flexible to do yoga?
A: Although flexibility can make some poses a bit easier, it is not necessary at all. If you are looking to improve you flexibility, you can be certain that doing yoga regularly will help. So bring your bendy self or your incredibly inflexible body and explore all the amazing benefits of adding yoga to your life.
Q: What is the difference between pilates and yoga?
A: Both of these movement therapies aim to unite the mind, body, and spirit. Both incorporate series of controlled movements improving strength, flexibility, balance, alignment, and more. Q: How important is breathing?
A: Extremely important. Make it one of your top priorities and the meditation and quality of your yoga will deepen profoundly. If you feel you are having trouble grasping the controlled breathing, ask your teacher. They will love to help.
